Basics of html laearning

Syl-Source learning
Dear friends,
Today I am sharing some basics of HTML with you. it help you to influence you to become a web developer. So if you are interested to work in web site development fields, than this blog is definitely for you... just go on

1. What does HTML stand for?

html stands for, Hyper Text Markup Language.
HTML was written by Tim Berners-Lee in 1992. Berners-Lee also invented the Web.

2. What tag is used when you want to insert a picture?

IMG. The IMG tag is one of the few HTML tags that stands alone, as it requires no closing tag with it.

3. What does the A tag stand for?

ANCHOR. This is the tag that really makes the Internet what it is. The A tag tells the computer to link to another file, such as another website. It creates a web of interlinked documents! Such a little tag, but incredibly powerful!

4. When you have a graphic that you would like to use for the backdrop of your page, what tag sequence do you use?

BODY BACKGROUND. The rule of thumb is to use a light background with dark lettering. Of course rules are meant to be broken sometimes! But be careful, some backgrounds make it very difficult for your readers to enjoy your site.

5. How many alphanumerical characters are in a hex color code?

6. The first two characters stand for how much red is found in the color, the next two characters represent how much green is in the color, and the last two are for how much blue is in the color.

7. What tag is used when you want to create a horizontal divider across your page?

HR. HR stands for "horizontal rule". You can also determine the size and color of this rule. This is a very handy tag for cleanly dividing different sections of your page.

8. What tag is used to center text on a page?

CENTER. In my opinion, this tag should be used sparingly, as it can make things look very unprofessional.

9. What tag do you use if you want text to pop up when the browser hovers his/her mouse over a graphic on your page in Internet Explorer?

ALT. This tag is very handy for the user in the case they have chosen for images not to display on their internet browser. It is also useful for the random times when the internet browser chooses not to display the picture for one reason or another!
